Sparkling Green Tea Ginger Ale is one of the most delightful things I have ever had the pleasure of drinking.

Driving is not as impossible as some of us may have once thought it would be.

Intimidating? yes.
Frightening? yes.
Impossible? No.

We have driven twice now, and Roger is expected to come at least twice this week. We have now driven in a parking lot, and a residential street. It was not the same person both times, and I'm hinged between having just one person learn so it sticks better, and spreading the burden of the task out between multiple people until we determine who is most adept at pushing the fear back and making this happen.

Mulder drove further than I did, but I was able to deal with the fear a bit better, and was a better driver so far. I was also much better at reverse than he was.

It is going to be a long process. I have no delusions to the contrary. But it is possible.

Our mom's Cat...there's something very wrong with her.

We came up to the House this weekend to do laundry and I picked her up and saw that the lump on her stomach has burst open. It looks infected - badly. The Lump has been there about...a month, maybe two? I'm not really sure. We're not very good with time lately.

The point is that two weeks ago, we came up here and Mom said it was oozing, and that she'd been licking at it a lot. Now it's open, and it's yellow and white with swollen red and pink around the edges and a pit in the middle.

We're very scared and upset. We just keep crying.

We can't afford a vet.
We can barely afford our bills.
We don't know what to do.

We've been peroxiding it, but I think it needs more than that...

We might be pet-sitting in a couple weeks if the Lady gets back to us - we offered to pet sit some lady's cats because we thought the money could help for bills, but if we get it, we're giving it to mom to take her cat to the vet.

I hate to beg people for Money, but I'm going to stick a Paypal donation button in this entry - if you have anything to spare, please. If not, just keep her in your thoughts. She's an old cat, and I don't know if she'd make it through any kind of surgery, but I want a vet to at least look at her. I can transfer the money out of Paypal into our bank account, I think. I'll have to look into it. We've never tried.

If you have anything to spare...please.

This entry has been edited slightly by Otacon and posted in our singlet journal also. Screw it, I'm leaving this public.

What the hell, iTunes?
Apparently, the latest upgrade comes with Safari, which works on PC.
I am updating from Safari, because ...well, why not.

One more browser, I guess.
The people around here who use macs might appreciate it. I'm just confused.

This is a handwritten entry, even if you'd never see it that way. Now that the tablet is working. we can use it to write. This is good thing for people who aren't comfortable with typing. I have to do it a little at a time. it is just a line or two on screen and it checks the words as you write them to make sure it's reading your words correctly. Sometimes you have to correct it. Maybe some people will feel okay talking on MSN like this since you can. Typing doesn't bother me, but I wanted to test it.

I am so bored.

First Moon Chicken Stirfry. [February 17th, 4:02pm]
Sanji needs a recipe journal on IJ. y/y/vy? I'm sure Jackal will also use it...:D

Anyway, kind of scared of losing this recipe taking it out of the house. Jackal has decided this is his stir fry recipe and I don't want to die.

-Leon

First Moon Chicken Stir Fry

3 tablespoons soy sauce - divided
2 tablespoons cornstarch - divided
2 1/2 tablespoons sugar - divided
1 clove garlic - pressed
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts halves cut into 1 inch squares
2/4 cup water
1 teaspoon distilled white vinegar (or basalmic vinegar)
1/2 pound fresh broccoli, trimmed
2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
1 medium onion - chunked
1 small carrot, cut diagonally into thin slices
1/8 - 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/3 pound fresh snow peas cut diagonally into halves

Combine 1 tablespoon each: soy sauce and corn starch with 1/2 tsp. sugar and garlic in medium bowl; stir in chicken. Let stand 15 minutes. Meanwhile combine water, remaining 2 tablespoons soy sauce and 1 tbsp cornstarch, t tsp sugar and vinegar in small bow; set aside. Remove flowerettes from broccoli, cut into bite-size pieces. Peel stalks; cut diagonally into thin slices.

Heat 1 tbsp oil in hot wok or large skillet over hight heat. Add chicken and stir fry 3 minutes (make sure chicken is almost cooked); remove. Heat remaining 1 tbsp oil in same pan. Add broccoli, onion, carrot and crushed red pepper; stir fry 2 minutes. Add snow peas; stir fry 2 minutes longer. Add chicken and soy sauce mixture; cook and stir until sauce boils and thickens.

Makes 4 servings. Always double the sauce.

May substitute any vegetables of your choice. Also makes an excellent vegetable-only stir fry.
Feel free to adjust portions of ingredients. Often Jackal doubles the garlic and red pepper while adding at least half as much more soy sauce.
Usually we make this with zucchini, carrots and chicken, but the other night Chris made it with just vegetables and it was pretty damn good.
When making with 2 eggplants, 5-7 zucchini and 2 bundles of asparagus, quadruple sauce.

Old meme copied from GJ [February 6th, 12:02am]
Ask any of us a question about each of the following topics, no matter how rude, sexual, or confidential:

1. Friends
2. Sex
3. Music
4. Drugs
5. Love
6. InsaneJournal

You're most likely to get an answer if you pick one of the following people to ask, although we'll make the effort to get in touch with whoever you're interested in asking. The rotation is never set in stone, and anyone who isn't so far back that we can find to answer will, although know that if you ask someone like Wesker, you're likely to get something short and cryptic, if anything. Some people here are just like that. :D Just because the comment at the top says you can ask it no matter how rude, sexual or confidential, doesn't mean that someone will definitely answer it or that no one will get offended. Use common sense.

Anyway, one of the following:

Reinhard, Wesker, Otacon, Leon Kennedy, Steve, Edgeworth, Godot, Klavier, Hyde, Toya, "Raiden" "Battle Toad"

If you don't specify it'll be answered by whoever happens to be fronting at the time.

If you ask about someone not on this list, be expected to wait awhile for an answer. If you do ask a question and you don't get an answer right away, don't be offended. It's not that you're being ignored it's that whoever you asked isn't out here and/or hasn't gotten the message yet.

We're resetting the security on this to public for friends from other journaling places (ie: LJ, GJ). Please know that if the question isn't something we want left in a public post, it won't be, so don't leave an anonymous comment thinking we'll just reply. We won't. You may get a post about it under friends-lock, or, barring the person asking the question having a IJ, you may get an email or IM conversation about it. Who knows. We'll see how it goes.
